- When is there hot water?
A geyser serving two rooms takes about forty minutes to refill. “Geyser available” and “hot water at 7am” are different promises.
- Are meals included, and can they be adjusted?
Most homestays include breakfast and dinner. Say early if you are vegetarian, vegan, allergic or travelling with a fussy child — households shop daily and can accommodate almost anything with notice.
- How many other guests?
A two-room homestay and an eight-room one are completely different experiences at the same price.
- What makes noise?
The highway, the mandi, a temple loudspeaker, a generator, or a dog. Every property has an answer; almost none volunteer it.
