Tashi Jong is a Tibetan settlement founded in the 1960s under the eighth Khamtrul Rinpoche, built around Khampagar Monastery. It has a long-running craft community — thangka painting, woodwork, textiles — and a small number of guest rooms attached to it.
Ordered, calm and purposeful. Visitors are welcome but it is a community, not an attraction.
